  • A Crusader will study in order to acquire a meaningful knowledge or the Scriptures.
  • A Crusader will apply the Word of GOD to his everyday living.
  • A Crusader will be actively involved in missions and ministry of his church

Methods:
• Weekly or bi-weekly Bible study
• Training in Christian principles through various activities
• Recreational and sports activities implemented
• Missionary and community projects planned and implemented
• Crusaders involved in local, state and national assemblies (conventions)

Our Origin:
The Children’s Crusade, which took place in 1212, was one of the strangest happenings in history. An army of French children, led by a peasant boy name Nicholas, crossed the Alps by a more eastern route. This band of children and young people called for the quest of Jerusalem. They marched from town to town in search of the Holy Land. Out of this background of comradeship and understanding of shared failures and successes, we call upon you to join this noble company of pathfinders of the World Missionary Crusade.

What is a Crusader?

A Crusader must first be a disciple of Christ, one who accepts not only the views of Christ, but also attempts to put them into practice. They must have first, by faith, accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Under the power of the Holy Spirit, he now strives to live, not conformed to the image of this world, but according to the principles set forth in GOD’s word, the Holy Bible (Romans 12:1-2)

Ages:
There are four ages in the Crusaders department:

  • Juniors 9-11
  • Intermediates 12-14
  • Seniors 15-17
  • Young Men’s Auxiliary (YMA) 18-35

Crusader Colors & Uniform:

  • Blue and White
  • Boys and male counselors: white shirt, blue tie and dark pants
  • Female counselors: navy blue dress and red corsage

Crusaders’ Creed:

  • I would be true for there are those who trust me
  • I would be pure for the there are those who care
  • I would be strong for there is much to suffer
  • I would be brave for there is much to dare
  • I would be a friend to all, the foe, the friendless
  • I would be giving and forget the gift
  • I would be humble for I know my weakness
  • I would look up and laugh, and love and lift

The Crusaders’ Pledge:

  • I pledge myself:
  • To do all the good I can,
  • By all the means I can,
  • In all the ways I can,
  • In all the places I can,
  • At all the times I can,
  • To all the people I can,
  • As long as ever I can,
  • As a Crusader for Christ.
